How to Eat Less and Enjoy It!

Slowing down your eating helps reduce food intake. Eating 
quickly - and not paying attention to the pleasurable 
sensations associated with eating - reduces satisfaction, 
so fast, inattentive eaters tend to eat more. In addition, 
there is a time lag between being full and feeling full.  
Eating slowly reduces this lag. 
There are timers on the market that signal you when to 
take a bite and/or how long to chew, but an easier and less 
annoying method is to listen to soft, slow music while 
eating. A study at Johns Hopkins University showed that 
people ate less and chewed more slowly when they listened 
to soft, slow music.
